Are competitions mandatory?

This is your martial arts journey. We do not require that you compete, however many of our students find that they enjoy testing their skills against outside schools.

How often can I come?

It is recommended that a student trains at least two to three times a week. This aids in muscle memory and development. Students are welcome to attend as often as they wish – including multiple classes a day.

Will classes improve my physical fitness?

We’ve designed classes so that students experience optimal conditioning as they learn martial arts techniques. Improved physical fitness is strongly correlated with improved technique.

What is the youngest age you accept?

MUSA’s youngest Taekwondo students are 3 years old. These little warriors have a class all their own. Designed for 3-5 year olds, the Little Warriors class is geared towards familiarizing the student with basic martial arts movements and principles, as well as introducing them to the classroom setting. This is a graduated program that prepares them for the youth class.

How long does it take to earn a Black Belt?
